Kurt Wainman: President & Founder
Kurt Wainman is the visionary founder and President of Northwind Industries, a leader in construction, logistics, and project management services in the Northwest Territories. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Kurt has played an instrumental role in shaping the infrastructure and economic development of Inuvik and the entire Inuvialuit Settlement region. His deep connection to the land, commitment to supporting local communities, and dedication to sustainable growth have positioned Northwind as a trusted partner for both public and private sector projects across the Arctic.
Under Kurt’s leadership, Northwind Industries has grown from a small local operation to a thriving business known for its innovation, reliability, and focus on delivering high-quality solutions in some of the most challenging environments in Canada.
